During half term last week, we were invited along to the Queensgate Centre in Harlow for some family fun! We chose to see How To Train your Dragon: The Hidden World and to go to Pizza Hut for dinner, on Frankie’s orders of course!
The Queensgate Centre is situated a stones throw from the town centre and is easily accessible from the A414. Home to Mothercare, Laura Ashley, HomeSense, Hobby Craft and more, it is also the ideal place to do a bit of shopping before planning to see a film and grab a bite to eat! There is also a Chiquito & a Subway. A full list of the stores are available here – The Queensgate Centre – Stores.
I was naturally thrilled to see a HomeSense and a Hobby Craft, we also took a look in Mothercare for some bits for baby before going to see our film. We took advantage of Hobby Craft whilst there and the half term workshop and painting a money box (which Frankie later smashed on the ground but he enjoyed it while it lasted!)
Cineworld is the biggest UK cinema brand, home to all the greatest new films in 2D, 3D & HFR. Frankie insisted on popcorn and milky stars, luckily enough a ‘Kids Munchbox’ provided both and a fruit shoot. I opted for a mixed ice blast (what else!) and a big bag of Tommy Tucker Krax & Mitch went for a coke and ‘posh peanut butter’ popcorn. Having pre-bought our tickets online, we only needed to scan my phone at the door and was shown to our screen.
The film was brilliant, as I have reviewed click here, and Pizza Hut was just a stones throw over the road. We didn’t need to book and were seated right away, we ordered Frankie’s meal first, Little Heroes Pizza, which came with a drink, free salad and desert which he gobbled all up & loved the ice cream station. I had the Supreme on American Thin & Mitch had the Stuffed Crust Pepperoni, we also ordered jalepeno bites on the side. Service was good and the salad plenty too.
The parking at The Queensgate Centre is free for up to five hours. Directions and visiting information is available here – The Queensgate Centre – Your Visit.
We had a great time at The Queensgate Centre, without the traffic and hassle of jumping in and out of the car, the leisure park has it all. As a Mum having shops, restaurants & a cinema in one place makes life so much easier than folding down buggies and carrying round heavy bags which you can just stash back in your car!
Now I’m patiently waiting for another trip to HomeSense & for the new Toy Story film to be released!
