Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park, South Woodham Ferrers

I have been coming to Marsh Farm since I was Frankie’s age, I remember coming on school trips & my favourite part of the farm was what is now the softplay barn, a giant pig barn, with a room full of ‘pig puzzles’ & in the cow shed next door there was a huge plastic cow that you could ‘milk’ yourself. Partyman World took over Marsh Farm in 2013 and has injected fun back into the park.

Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park boasts animals including sheep, pigs, cows, goats, bunnies, alpacas, birds & more. Our favourites were walking the Alpacas and the Kune Kune Pigs which Frankie helped to feed. Marsh Farm – Meet the Animals

They are so much more than a ‘farm’, they have lots to keep the kiddies entertained including play park areas, a softplay barn, tractor rides, ride-ons, fairground rides, a maize maze, theatre, jewel hunting, sandpits, minigolf, bouncy pillows & more. In the summer they now have a play beach with a swimming pool & huge sandpit.

Throughout the year they have a wide range of events covering all seasons and interests including days out with Peppa Pig, East Egg Hunts, Fairies & Dragons and so much more. We visited at Christmas time, their The Father Christmas Experience, Marsh Farm, was absolutely magical! Marsh Farm – Events. Even more appealing, they run ‘kids go free days’, & special visits such as Mothers Day where Mum can go for free, which as a parent I think is great.

Inside the softplay barn, they have a menu ranging from jacket potatoes to burgers & offer a lunchbox menu for just £3.50 for kiddies. Seasonally they also have an ice cream hut & outdoor food choices. Marsh Farm – Food & Drink

Booking online in advance guarantees the best price & under 2’s go free. During term time admission is just £7.50, if you take into consideration what you would pay to visit a softplay alone & what Marsh Farm has to offer, it is a great steal for a day out. Marsh Farm – Daily Admissions.

Alternatively an annual membership, if you live close enough, is a little under £5 a month per person, making it an absolute must do if your little ones love the farm. This cost is inclusive of events too so no matter when you decide to go and visit you pay the same price! Marsh Farm – Membership

As a blogger, I want to maintain an honest relationship with everyone that reads my blogs, especially when I am reviewing somewhere. In the past, Marsh Farm had a reputation as ‘going downhill’, I visited when Frankie was around 11months old, most of the animals weren’t out, it was over-crowded, the timetable wasn’t flowing when we headed to ‘activities’ such as feeding the pigs & I found the staff non-engaged, reviews around that time aren’t great..
BUT, if a past visit has put you off, go back and visit them again now, it is clear that so much hard work has gone into making Marsh Farm a great place to visit again! The staff were smiley & courteous, they engaged with the children walking around, explaining the animal’s names, habits & what they liked to eat, the softplay area was clean & despite being a weekend there wasn’t a long wait on food, around the park there are signs holding information on the park and animals & the touches such as minigolf and tractor rides make it so much more than just a farm.

We can’t wait to keep visiting Marsh Farm, we are heading there on half term week for their ‘Fairies and Dragons’ week & I can’t wait! Marsh Farm – Fairies and Dragons.

Well done to Partyman & the staff for making Marsh Farm a family fun day out again! There aren’t many places that boast having as much as you offer!
