Christmas Gifts

Christmas Gifts

This year I have promised (& promised and sworn) myself that I won’t go overboard this Christmas, I’ve budgeted, wrote lists & checked them twice & have enlisted the help of Facebook, Etsy and Instagram to find local independent gifts & homemade if I can!

When you buy from a small business, a Mummy maker from home, an individual with a passion for something, you aren’t helping a multi national CEO buy his third yacht that year or contributing to a company with no heart, you are helping to fund after school classes, Christmas presents, University fees and a real love for their makes and ideas coming to life!

Here are my favourites and those I’ve personally ordered from, how lovely is it gifting someone something homemade than shop bought? See for yourself:-

Personalise Your Canvas

I had these canvases made of Frankie last Christmas which I gave out to his Grandparents and Aunties as gifts & I had an anniversary canvas made for my Mum & Dad a few years ago.

Truly Senti Metal

Truly Senti Metal

Truly Senti Metal offer a wide range of personalised metal jewellery, key rings and beautiful keepsakes. I’ve highlighted below a few of my favourite items, including the ‘love you to the moon and back’ key ring and the trio of sister bracelets.

They are also offering Christmas Makes including Reindeer!

Anna lives in Rochford with her husband, four children, a cat and a horse. She loved jewellery but unfortunately is highly allergic to most things made of metal, except silver which is expensive! After stumbling across aluminium a few years ago, which is hypoallergenic, her love affair with stamped metal began!

Little Lady Lane Bows

Little Lady Lane Bows are so cute & have a wide range of headbands, bows, bag charms & key ring bows.

They kindly gave me the below samples which I’ll be giving to my best friend’s little girls in the lead up to Christmas. I absolutely adore the elf on the shelf twin bows!

Bow Prices:-

  • 2.5″ – £2.50
  • 3.5″ – £3.00
  • 5″ – £4.00
  • 7.5″ – £6.00

Deals usually on for 5 for £10 on sets! Personalised Bows around £1.50 extra.

Cari lives in Wickford, Essex with her husband, daughter and a cavapoo, Teddy. She works part time as a paediatric nurse and makes bows in her spare time. After spending so much money on different bows for her daughter Cari decided to set up a page on Facebook and have a go at making them herself! She got so busy she couldn’t keep up due to demand and stopped to ease her daughter into school in September and now she has re-started!

By Cecily

By Cecily

By Cecily make 100% soy wax melts and candles with long lasting lingering smells which are beautifully packaged. The smell has lasted longer than market favourites! My personal favourites are pumpkin spiced latte and coconut.

They are currently offering a Christmas Hamper including a wax burner and three scents of Mulled Wine, Christmas Tree & Christmas Pudding for just £15 (Mulled Wine smells amazing!) which is packaged beautifully.

Cecily started making her own wax melts and candles in June 2018. She made her gran some who liked them so much that she gave her the idea to start selling them. She thought it was so much nicer gifting something that is completely handmade rather than a mass produced product. Cecily lives in Essex with her boyfriend and their rescue cat Dexter.

Wood Again

Wood Again

I first contacted Wood Again back in July for an 18th birthday present for my cousin and Georgie was so attentive and lovely creating exactly what I asked for, which was this beautiful tea light block.

Wood Again recycle wood to make beautiful items for the home, some of their items are available for sale, some can be made to order as per your own specification as shown below. Also, I recently received this beautiful white stained tray which is perfect for my Christmas nibbles & candles come the New Year!

They truly have some lovely pieces, most of which you would expect to pay £££’s for in well known shops but everything is handmade and totally unique, I love Wood Again! The Mr & Mrs blocks are one of my favourites! Can’t wait to give over my final order for Christmas!

Georgie lives in Grays with her husband and three children. After giving up a full time job to be at home for the half terms and holidays she pursued an interest in crafting unique pieces from wood and well Wood Again was born!
